Demuth’s of Lancaster, PA History

This is another older pipe booklet that I have a copy of here. I wanted to post it as well to give more data and pipe history to those of us who enjoy reading that kind of thing. Demuth’s must have been an amazing store in its day! Anybody know if it is still with us?

Sadly Demuth’s closed about two years ago. The story is a family squabble shuttered the doors. It is rumored that the stores entire inventory is inside, collecting dust. The shop was near “Wingenroth’s” a favorite stop of mine. Here is a street view of the shop via Google Maps.

The building is there, but several years ago, I found it just locked – full of inventory but closed permanently. I don’t recall what the dispute was about.
