From what the “P” stamp means that it is a Presentation pipe made from briar that did not meet the standard for production.   • This Paradis 1989 Made in Canada 93 Freehand with a variegated orange and rose acrylic stem can be yours today. This smooth, nicely grained Paradis pipe has two rusticated leaves on the rim top.  The pipe was probably made in 1989 as the stamp on the shank suggests. It is stamped on the left side and read Paradis [over] 1989. On the right side it is stamped with the shape number 93. The grain around the bowl and shank really pops with the wax and polish. There is a black acrylic shank ring on the pipe. The variegated orange/rose acrylic stem with a gold stamped P on the left side is a beautiful contrast to the browns of the bowl and the black ring on the shank. This Rustic Brigham Sportsman Bent Dublin is another beautiful looking pipe that is light and well balanced. From what I can find it was made between 1956-69 during the Post-Patent Era. It is stamped on the underside of the shank and reads Made in Canada followed by Brigham. There is  no shape number on the pipe. The finish is the classic Sportsman finish – rough cut and rustic – though beautiful in its own way. The black of the vulcanite stem along with the two brass pins is a beautiful contrast to the natural finish of the bowl and shank. It really is a quite stunning piece of briar whose shape follows the flow of the briar. The Dublin is a light weight and comfortable pipe to hold in the hand.
