The  left side of the stem bears GBD oval logo medallion set in the vulcanite. The grain on this pipe is very nice and the shape has a great look and feel in the hand. The pipe is stamped on the left side and reads GBD in an oval [over] Oom Paul and on the right side it is stamped London, England [over] the shape number 235. The grain on this smooth finish on the large bowl is nice and highlighted by the dark brown and black stains. The colour of the briar works well with the polished vulcanite stem.   • This 1999 Dunhill Chestnut Straight Brandy with a Cumberland Stem can be yours today! It is a Dunhill Chestnut Straight Brandy that is stamped both sides of the shank. On the left side it is stamped with the shape number 5134 followed by Dunhill in an oval. On the right side it is stamped Chestnut [over] Made in England followed by the number 39. Interpreting that stamp it is as follows: The 5134 is the shape for a straight Brandy with a triangular shaped shank. The Dunhill Chestnut is the finish noted on the shank. The 39 following the D of England gives the date the pipe was made and identifies it as 1999. The stamping is clear and readable. The Cumberland stem has some small repairs on the button on the topside and just ahead of the button on both sides. They are well done but are still visible which makes this pipe a great deal for someone.   • This Parker Golden 141 Bent Acorn with a Sterling Silver band and a saddle vulcanite stem can be yours today. This is a beautifully grained Parker in rich mixture of brown stains that is lightweight and comfortable. The pipe is stamped with the shape number 141 next to the bowl followed by Golden [over] Parker on the left side of the shank and on the  right side it reads Made in London England. It is a beautiful piece of briar that is well finished. The grain just pops and is almost multidimensional. The pipe polished up really well. The Sterling Silver Band is an aftermarket addition to repair a crack in the right side of the shank. The polished vulcanite stem seemed to truly come alive with the buffing. This is a good sized pipe but it still feels light in my hand. If the condition it was in when we got it is any indication it will be a good smoking pipe.   • This Parker of London Jockey Club 570 Bent Apple with taper black vulcanite stem can be yours today. This is a beautifully grained Parker Apple in a rich oxblood stain that is lightweight and comfortable. The pipe is stamped Parker [over] of London on the left side of the shank and on the  right side it reads Jockey Club. On the underside of the shank it is stamped 570. It is a beautiful piece of briar that is well finished. The grain just pops and is almost multidimensional. The pipe polished up really well. The polished vulcanite stem seemed to truly come alive with the buffing. This is a good sized pipe but it still feels light in my hand. If the condition it was in when we got it is any indication it will be a good smoking pipe. I stripped off the thick varnish coat and refinished the bowl to show the amazing grain around the bowl and shank. It is a bent Billiard that is stamped on the left side of the shank and read Mullins and Westley LTD. [arched over] Covent Garden [over] London. On the right side it is stamped Westleys [over] Covent Brand. On the underside of the shank the shape number 45 was stamped near the shank end. The refinished pipe polished up really well.   • This 1969 Dunhill Shell Briar Dublin 142F/T can be yours today! It is a Dunhill Shell Briar Dublin that is in excellent condition. It is stamped 142F/T which is the shape number followed by Dunhill [over] Shell Briar on the underside of the shank. On the right of that it reads Made in England with a 9 and a 14 superscript which gives me the date 1969 for the making of the pipe and 1974 when it went to be sold. It really has that classic Dunhill Dublin look in a Shell Briar finish that catches the eye. The pipe polished up pretty nicely. The sandblasted grain around the bowl and shank really came alive with the wax and polish. The black of the tapered vulcanite White Spot stem is a beautiful contrast to the Shell Briar finish of the bowl and shank. The pipe is comfortable pipe to hold in the hand.   • This Benaderet’s Coral Sandblast Pot can be yours today. This is a beautifully shaped square shank Pot that is lightweight and comfortable. The pipe is stamped Benaderet’s over Coral on the underside of the shank. Next to that it reads London Made over the shape number 9488. The shape number helps to identify the pipe as a GBD pipe. Turns out from my research that it was made by GBD as a pipe shop pipe for Benaderet’s Tobacco Shop in San Francisco, California. It is a beautiful piece of briar that is well finished. The stain and the sandblast finish polished up very nicely and stands out. The vulcanite square saddle stem seemed to truly come alive with the buffing. This is a medium sized pipe and it feels great in my hand and I am sure that it will feel even better radiating the heat of a good smoke. Have a look at it with the photos below. .   • This Comoy’s Second Town Hall 136  Billiard with a vulcanite saddle stem can be yours today. This is a beautifully grained billiard shaped pipe that is lightweight and comfortable. There are a few fills around the bowl that are masked with the darker stain but they in no way detract from the beauty of the pipe. The pipe is stamped Town Hall over Made in England on the left side of the shank and on the right side it has the shape number 136.  It is a beautiful piece of briar that is well finished. The grain shines through the stain and has depth. The pipe polished up really well. The polished vulcanite stem that I restemmed it with seemed to truly come alive with the buffing. This is a medium sized pipe and it feels great in my hand and I am sure that it will feel even better radiating the heat of a good smoke. Have a look at it with the photos below.   • This 1957 Dunhill Root Briar Billiard 251. It is a Dunhill Root Briar Billiard that is in excellent condition with a small burn mark on the outer edge of the rim top. It is stamped EX606 over 251 which is the shape number followed by Dunhill over Root Briar on the left side of the shank. On the right side it is stamped with the 3R (which is the Group size and the R for Root Briar) and to the left is reads Made in England with what looks like a 7 superscript to me and 0 which gives me the date 1957. It really has that classic Dunhill Billiard look in a Root Briar finish that catches the eye. The pipe polished up pretty nicely. The grain around the bowl and shank really came alive with the wax and polish. The right side of the bowl has some amazing birdseye and there is also great cross grain on the bowl. The black of the tapered vulcanite White Spot stem is a beautiful contrast to the light brown of the finished bowl and shank. The pipe is comfortable pipe to hold in the hand.   • This newer GBD London Made 2871 Zulu with a stamped logo on the black vulcanite stem can be yours today. This is a beautifully grained Zulu shaped pipe that is lightweight and comfortable. The pipe is stamped GBD London Made on the topside of the shank and on the underside it reads London England over 2881 with a P near the shank/stem junction. Though it is a Cadogan era GBD it is a beautiful piece of briar that is well finished. The grain just pops and is almost multidimensional. The pipe polished up really well. The polished vulcanite stem seemed to truly come alive with the buffing. This is a small pipe and it feels great in my hand and I am sure that it will feel even better radiating the heat of a good smoke. Have a look at it with the photos below.   • This Orlik Made Hurricane Billiard can be yours today. This pipe is stamped Orlik Hurricane over Made in England on the left side of the shank and the shape number H182 is stamped on the right side of the shank. It is a nice piece of briar with a few small, smooth fills around the bowl. It has a natural finish and looks great. The rim cap is Bakelite and is integrated with the bowl and flips back to the smoker to allow access and lighting. The cap is in great shank and the rim top looks very good underneath. The pipe is in great condition. It polished up really well. The polished vulcanite taper stem seemed to truly come alive with the buffing.   • This Sandblast Ben Wade London Made Canadian can be yours today. This pipe is stamped Ben Wade over London England on the underside of the shank along with the shape number 76. It is a nice piece of briar with an interesting sandblast around the bowl and half way up the shank. The rest of the shank is rusticated. It is a mahogany or oxblood colour and looks great. The rim top looks good and the burn area on the left top and edge that I repaired looks decent. The pipe is in great condition. It polished up really well. The polished vulcanite taper stem seemed to truly come alive with the buffing. This is a long Canadian pipe and it feels great in my hand and I am sure that it will feel even better radiating the heat of a good smoke. Have a look at it in the photos below.   • This beautiful lightly smoked Sasieni Ruff Root Dark 4 Dot 13 Canadian comes with the original box and a nondescript pipe sock. It has a dark finished sandblast on the briar. The stamping on the smooth panel on the underside of the shank read Sasieni in script followed by 4 Dot on one line and under that it was stamped Ruff Root Dark. To the right of this stamping was the shape number 13. This is a Post Transition pipe. The taper stem had four blue dots arranged in a triangle on top of the taper. It is a beautiful piece of briar interesting grain highlighted by a lighter style sandblast. The pipe polished up really well. This is a medium sized pipe and it feels great in my hand and I am sure that it will feel even better radiating the heat of a good smoke. Have a look at it in the photos below. The finished Sasieni 4 Dot Ruff Root Dark 13 Canadian is shown in the photos below.   • This BBB Two Star 11 Apple from Bob Kerr’s Estate is available to you today. Bob was a wood carver here in Vancouver and on Salt Spring Island. The pipe is a classic shaped Apple with a tapered vulcanite stem that I am pretty certain is a replacement stem. The grain on the pipe is very nice and the shape has a great look and feel in the hand. The smooth finish is beautiful and highlights the grain. The repaired rim top looks very good and blends in well. The rich browns of the briar works well with the polished vulcanite stem. The finished pipe has a rich look that is quite catching.   • This Royal Crown Bulldog from Bob Kerr’s estate can be yours today.  Bob was a wood carver here in Vancouver and on Salt Spring Island. This straight shank classic Bulldog was made by Hardcastle during the Family Period.  It is a beautiful piece of briar that was carved prior to Dunhill’s takeover of the Hardcastle Factory. It has a saddle vulcanite stem that I am pretty certain is a replacement stem. The grain on the pipe is very nice and the shape has a great look and feel in the hand. The smooth finish is beautiful and highlights the grain. The rich browns of the briar works well with the polished vulcanite stem. The finished pipe has a rich look that is quite catching. This is another pipe from Paresh in India and it has quite a journey under its belt. This pipe is stamped GBD Popular 3531 on the underside of the shank. Though it is a Cadogan era GBD it is a beautiful piece of briar with a deep sandblast. The deep blasted grain just pops and is almost multidimensional. The pipe polished up really well.   • This 1969 Dunhill Bruyere 112 F/T Apple 2A is from Bob Kerr’s Estate. Bob was a wood carver here in Vancouver and on Salt Spring Island. This is a beautiful Dunhill Bruyere 112 F/T Apple made in 1969 and shipped or sold in 1971. It really has that classic Dunhill Billiard look in a Bruyere finish that catches the eye. There are some small nicks on the right outer rim edge and the small burn mark on the upper part of the right side that have been minimized a bit. The pipe polished up pretty nicely. The grain around the bowl and shank really came alive with the wax and polish. The black of the tapered vulcanite White Spot stem is a beautiful contrast to the reds and browns of the finished bowl and shank. The pipe is comfortable pipe to hold in the hand.   • This GBD Popular 233 Sandblast Bulldog from Bob Kerr’s Estate. Bob was a wood carver here in Vancouver and on Salt Spring Island. This straight sandblast GBD Bulldog has a classic GBD shape and a finish that catches the eye. The pipe polished up pretty nicely. The valleys and ridges of the sandblast looked good with the polished black vulcanite. This GBD Popular 233 Bulldog is probably from the 60s. It was another fun pipe to work on thanks to Jeff’s cleanup work. The combination of various black and oxblood stains makes the pipe look attractive. It is a comfortable pipe to hold in the hand.   • This GBD London Made 9664E Paneled Dublin/Pickaxe can be yours today! The pipe is stained an oxblood/cordovan over dark to highlight the amazing grain around the sides and shank. With restoration and buffing the pipe seemed to truly come alive. It is stamped on the topside of the oval shank GBD in an oval over London Made. On the underside it isstamped London, England over 9664 with the letter E at the stem/shank junction. This uniquely shaped pipe feels great in my hand and when it warms with smoking I think it will be about perfect. Have a look at it in the photos below.
