I was given a copy of this little booklet that used to be given out by Sir Walter Raleigh with their tobacco or with coupon pipes I believe. It is a great little piece of history so I scanned it and have posted it here for you to read and enjoy. All the pages are scanned so they are pictures instead of text.















Just got back from an antique shop and purchased a six pipe holder rack with clear glass humidor jar. Inside was this very brochure. So very neat to see this post.

A great little read. It is interesting that many of the issues talked about are still relevant today, but others have progressed. The bit about “ramming a pipe cleaner down the stem after every few bowls” I wouldn’t dream of not cleaning my pipe after every smoke. I would think that would be the quickest way to a sour pipe. It;s great that these little booklets are preserved.
